Water leak in foot well?

Hi all,
woke up the other morning to a foot well full of water?
cleaned out the channels under the wind screen and thought that would do it but now when I put the heater on its smelling bad like coolant,
Heater matrix I'm thinking, anyone with the same problem / any ideas?

Check your coolant level....If it goes down dramatically
it could well be the matrix.
