starting

hiya lads my 03 1,9d van has been playing up the last 3 months on starting

it began with turning over then stopping and whirring

sometimes i turn the key and nothing or it just whirrs

yesterday it started turning over then developed a bad wobble while the starter was turning....and wouldnt go at all

i hoping it might be loose dirty cables ,so my question is,is it easy enough to get to the starter, anything to look out for?

well before starting today i popped the bonnet and pumped the primer

then noticed the cold start cable had loads of play,[it is the upper one aint it?]

so took up the slack and it started pretty good

well fitted my new plugs from ebay£32 inc post

after sitting there for 2 days it started instantly with the key,no throttle

so all good at the mo,steve

it was the plugs ,fair play the AA man who tested voltage on them and found they were hardly using any,steve
