New Berlingo Owner!
#1
Hi! Just replaced my old and slowly falling apart Peugeot 307 with a silver 53 reg 2.0HDi Multispace Desire and I love it!

It has done 155k but apart from a couple of small marks on the front and a few windscreen chips from motorway use it's in fantastic condition. Still has many years of use ahead of it. I've already replaced the dash tweeters, door speakers and the small speakers in the roof and they're a massive improvement. When I've got some more cash I plan on replacing the head unit with one that can support my ipod but until then I'll have to make do with my ancient collection of quite scratched CDs!

I needed something bigger and more powerful than the 307 to carry my band's equipment to gigs. The massive load area and torque-y engine make it perfect. No idea why more people don't have them!

After saying everything about it's reliability...

I've had the car for a week and covered about 350 miles on a trip away. I got back home and went for a quick trip to the shops and the gear stick link age (I think; gear stick is wobbly and loose and as a result, will not select a gear) went as I reversed out of my drive. Luckily it's still under warranty from the garage so I'll call them tomorrow. Can't get it in gear so they'll have to come and collect it.

Hopefully the rest of the car will last a bit longer...

[edit: and thanks for the welcomes!]

Hi & welcome. At 155k it's entitled to have the odd problem. It sounds as though the gear linkage has popped off one of it's ball joints-no big deal.Let us know how you get on.
