Hello all, just joined today as I've bought a Citroen Berlingo 1598 cc 1.6HDi 600Kg van today to replace my Vauxhall Combo that has prematurely died at 127,000 miles.
If all goes to plan I should have my Berlingo by Monday evening.

You should enjoy ownership; it's a nicer chassis to drive than the Combo.
Be sure to read and follow up on all threads related to the 1.6HDi motor's preservation.

Could a moderator please move this thread to the introductions section, I only realised it was there after I posted.
Thanks
Hi Addo. Thanks for your reply. A business contact of mine also runs a 1.6 HDi and is on 3rd turbo! I can only guess he's either not been looking after it properly or only servicing it to Citroens service schedule.
I used to change oil on the Combo every 8 to 10,000 miles, as I'm a self employed courier and rack up the miles quite quickly (with the Combo I added 95,000 miles in 15 months) so this can mean oil changes every 6 weeks for me. I assume it's a straightforward job on the Berlingo? I've never owned a Citroen before so I hope it's a refreshing change from Vauxhall and Ford.

Very important to use the correct oil - it may be a bit pricey but will be cheaper in the long run.
