That is way cool. Wish a Berlingo was that high off the ground.

.. Nice chair and very useful I'm sure !
If you want a cheap and effective slider to go slithering under your wagon and maximise its limited headroom then just get yourself a sheet of hardboard and use this to lay on ( shiny side up ). You will be amazed at how good it is to use with the added benefit of keeping your driveway clean too which will keep the other half happy.

What happens if it "sproings" when you're under the car, then tries to sit you up?

Don't know what the collective expression is for mechanics but I know the term "Tackle-Tart" is used for an angler who insists on having every gadget and piece of fishing tackle in the shop.
I used to work in an administrative role at a commercial vehicle dealership and the amount of stuff I saw some of those guys had was unbelievable. Tools all bought out of their own pocket with nil input from the boss, tool chests big enough to stable a couple of shire horses and snobbery between peer groups debating whos tools etc were the best.... Imagine when a new mechanic turned up with an old beat up cantilever tool box and a couple of metal trays and all transported around the workshop on a discarded supermarket trolley that had found a new life !!!

Gearheads and tool tarts seem to be common terms. When you've been let down by a crap tool it can be a pretty unnerving experience - like a T-55 shattering as you torque down a head bolt. Not a fan of creepers, as I can go to sleep lying down within seconds!

Who remembers that massive auction of mostly unused Snap-On stuff in the UK a couple of years back? Someone's collectormania had clearly bested them.

You'll be able to give the underside of your vehicle an even closer look
