Hi All - Today I saw a brand new XTR with a spoiler fitted at the top of the tailgate.Does anybody know if this original equipment or an accessory? Bill
White 2013 1.6 XTR , Green 2000 1.8 Forte,wheelchair adapted & Blue 2003 HDi Van

They were original last March (don't know about now) equipment unless you have the opening tailgate window.

Can these spoilers be retro fitted,i can't find them on any accessory list.

Looks like an airflow spoiler to direct airflow down over tailgate window to combat the low pressure area that increases dirt build up on the tailgate.
The second link is interesting in that it shows a spoiler and an opening rear window. This was nowhere in the specification for mine.
I shall go away and sulk now

There was an xtr I was looking at a few weeks ago which had the spoiler and the tailgate window,this was a 2009 version with all the goodies,only thing put me off was the mileage was too high.
I do like them though and would retro fit if possible.

IMHO I doubt if it helps much- if the rear spoiler was effective why is it now not standard on airdream XTR.unless it's purely cost-cutting.
