Hi all,
As you know the Berligo will take, as an optional extra, internal 'roof' or carry rails. They are 'trillions' of pounds from Citroen so I made my own. All I used was a chrome telescopic bar (found in wardrobes, shoe racks and available from DIY stores) and put a bolt in either end . My bars, as most do, have pre threaded ends. The bolts then locate in the roof recepitacles and extend into place. Job done all for under 8 squid for two bars! I use them to carry my model aircraft wings on with one end of the wing in the over windscreen storage tray and the other end on my bar.
Simples!
Regards, El Berling

I'd be interested in seeing some pix of your model plane(s) as well.

Hi Guys,
I'm pleased to see there is some interest in my project! O.K. I will take some photo's of the bars and in situ and post them. Might take a bit of time as I'm on a wireless internet system which is not very fast. One of my hobbies is R/C aircraft modeling and I have always had problems transporting the wings (which are a fixed length). Now piece of cake! Of course the weight that can be carried on these bars is determined by the quality and strength of the matterial but for every day stuff mine are fine. Off to find the camera and take some pics!
Regards to all,
El Berlingo, sunny Spain. unny:

Would love to see the project as I am planning similar using an old telescopic fishing landing net handle.
Used to love the old R/C aero-modelling, fly on a Sunday, spend all week and about £50.00 rebuilding, fly on a Sunday, spend all week and about £50.00 rebuilding, fly on a Sunday, spend all week and about £50.00 rebuilding, fly on Sunday, spend all week and about £50.00 rebuilding, ad-infinitum...
Got a bit too expensive and all the good shops locally closed so no longer flying. Got through a few wing assemblies and fuselages but the best one has to be when I landed the model out of the flying field undamaged then a big fat stupid black and white cow put its hoof through the wing.... bugger!!!
