Remove / Blank / Delete Rear Wiper on Tailgate Door
#1
Morning all!

I haven't really had a look myself yet to see how to do it but though I would ask and see if anyone else had already done it.

I plan on removing the rear wiper as I don't ever use it plus I don't want to as don want I to ruin my signage on rear window.

Can you blank it off? Easy job?

But also can you put it back easy enough at a later date?

Thanks in advance.

Just take the arm off, saves messing around removing the rear door trim panels (with their awfully tight Christmas tree clips). I reckon then a small rubber blanking cap (half inch, possibly) would push onto the shaft.

Hi there,

I’d go with addo’s remedy as the motor is held on with heavy duty Pop rivets that would have to be drilled out. Then you would have to find a suitable grommet to fill the hole in the glass. If you ever come to put it back on you have a pig of a job getting in to put nuts and bolts to secure it. You can get the rivets from the dealer but getting a rivet gun heavy enough to put them in might be a problem. I have replaced my wiper motor recently and used nuts and bolts. This was on the single door that lifts up. Hope this helps, Dave.
Smile it's already happened! Big Grin

I haven't got round to it yet but I'm going to do the simplest option. :-)
