I don't think any engine is a simple plug and play job.

It must be remembered that the 1905 XUD turbo and non turbos are not the same engine. They may look the same externally but conrods and pistons will be different to cope with the extra stresses. The DW8 was never designed for a turbo and if anyone has added a turbo and the engine has survived it will have been an aftermarket turbo which has a reduced boost pressure.

(Someone will shoot me down in flames now and say that they have added an XUD turbo to a DW8 and it has done 9 million miles without causing any trouble).

All DW8s have some degree of electronic control and adding a turbo would interfere with that.
