Mk1 Cold Start

Hello All,
Read an interesting post from Crickleymal about the cold start mechanisim and researched the part mentioned, When looking at my DW8 1.9 2000 could not see any sign of any of this but at rear of pump i can see barrel on spring lever with hole through it, looks like something a cable could run through.
Any one got a picture or diagram of this thing? Does an old Mk 1 even have one?
Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks

my 2000 w mk1 did not have one but go to a breakers yard and look for a Peugeot 306/ Citroën xantia/zara with a dw8 in it and the same fuel pump as yours as they have them. you will need the thermostat housing as the plug in yours is a weird allen key size so this is easier to swap the hole unit and also the little bracket on the fuel pump with the cable adjuster on it. got mine off a 306 and now works like a charm.
