Been trying to find answer to this on forum but cannot locate it.
Is it ok to jump start another car using Berlingo Multispace, or can it corrupt / damage BSI ?, thanks in advance.

I've done it loads of times... heard it said it can be a problem, but never heard anyone have anything go wrong before.

Well, I tried it and couldn't get it to work. Never figured out why and used the other car instead. Didn't hurt the Berlingo mind...

It is ok to do so .........
connect +ve to + ve
connect the -ve of the " donor " battery to a decent engine earth point on the receiving car.

On the Mk3 'lingo there appears to be a circular metal thingy screwed to inside wing to the right of battery. I'm guessing this is for the - lead with + lead on battery as only + terminal is accessible.

I've started my friend's Seat diesel with my Mk2 Berlingo. Connect as above then run the Berlingo engine for 10 minutes without trying to start the receiving car to put some charge into the battery before you try to fire it up.
So where does this bit go then ?

Brother in Law works for the AA and this is exactly what he said to do when we asked. I recalled reading something about jump starting other cars in the handbook and checked after a friend got stuck.
