Clutch stuck in pushed down pos.
#1
Regarding my Multispace 1,6 petrol-2004

Have sometimes during the cold winter here in Sweden coming across the situation during changing gear that after a kind of plastic "click" the pedal does not spring back. (Ops long sentence...)
The car is still functional,I get torque to the wheels and can use the clutch during gear changes, but the stroke is more or less zero. When it happens I can flip it back with my foot and get the full stroke back, until it "clicks" again.
This has happened some time this winter, latest two times today at 9degrees below zero.

Some people say its the clutch wire, but could it be the cylinder/spring at the pedal that is worn?

Cheers/

Hi,
Sounds like the automatic adjuster in middle of clutch cable, think it uses a ratchet mechanism, could be slipping.
New cable not that expensive.
