Which is the correct part ?
#1
Thanks to Tucker for advice so far. I still cannot determine which part is the correct heater blower resistor. Both claim to be the correct part for my 2004 (mk2) Berlingo 2.0 HDI MPV

IS IT :

OR :

Looking at this more closely I think it is the first part which is correct.

The first one is for AC equipped cars with "climate control" (ie; where you dial in the temperature it's supposed to maintain). The second is for non-AC cars with a range of manually controlled fan speeds.

Working off your VIN will always show up the correct part in such a situation, even if you're otherwise unsure.

Mine has air-con and yes mine was the first one.

Best bet is to remove your existing blower unit and have a look. It will soon be clear which one and you need to remove it anyway to replace the resistor.

@ Addo: I think that Climate Control on Mk.2 Berlingos didn't happen in the UK.
I have A/C but like tucker I have to select fan speeds manually.
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool

Fair call; my comments were a bit slippery.

I'm sure if it's not 6441.78 the OP could onsell the controller to another member with negligible loss.

EDIT: Cheapest allegedly genuine source I've found: http://allegro.pl/opornik-rezystor-dmuch...51939.html At 200 PLN plus carriage for a genuine part, you'd be laughing.
