[WTB] Broken or cheap catalytic converter CAT
#1
I need one to decat myself but the pipe design is so odd that I'm going to need a second one. If you have one that is broken I'd love to buy it around Hampshire area!

Here is what it looks like

Just to mention I no longer need this. I've been running DeCat for about an year now Smile

Try Barnes silencer's on eBay. I'm sure they sell a decat pipe. Think they on eBay too.

I had a look but there is nothing. It's the odd annoying cylinder that grinds my gears. I can't just weld a straight pipe due to the huge diameter. It has to be identical part so I can gut it and weld it shut.

I must admit I was wondering whether anyone sold a fake cat? So you could decat your car and have it look as though there was one there. Obviously this is questionably legal but if your car passes the emmission test.....

A catalytic perverter, that would be. I'm sure Ron will run away with my description...

My cat was serviced by Mr Prybar Exhaust Centre; it flows well but has that hollow sound - I'm told the experts insert a straight pipe inside to get rid of the characteristic gutted cat exhaust note.

You don't need one, only petrol cars have to have cats fitted (& emission tests) for the MOT. which goes to show how much the government really cares about the environment & our health doesn't it :censored:

It won't pass MOT that't why you have 2. One for MOT week, the other for even better fuel economy through out the year. Worst case fuel remains the same but power delivery improves. Anyway back on topic, if anybody has one that doesn't need, it's cheap, and it's in the area I will consider it. I don't need the material inside just the pipe design.

You haven't actually said what year your Berlingo is & which engine it has Wink

There's a second hand 1.6 cat on ebay ,but they're after £75 for it
