How many members remember the good owd days of the A.A who drove there side cars and saluted with a smile. Come to think of it Hows longs it been since they stopped putting them nice badges on the front o grills.health n saftey gone mad or did they get nicked i dont know.E bay seems to dictate the prices but i was at a antiques market last week.NOO im not posh. im a yorkshire man with deep and empty pockets and i saw some n thought Hmmm be nice on the front of my grill them Bit of nostalga.And who was first The A.A or R.A.C.

Now you're giving your age away.:whistle:
I THINK the RAC was 1st.
The "real badges" stopped in the 70's,like a lot of other good things.
My 1st car was a Ford 100e van,vacuum wipers,went fast when you slowed down & slow when you accelerated.What mechanical bliss.Confusedcratch:
What I really miss is the man with the red flag.:whistleSad& steam)Rolleyes
