wiring Loom

Hi Guy's,

I have a MK1 shape partner van (the same) and was hoping someone will be able to help me.

It started it's life as a 2.0HDI and for some reason the previous owner changed the engine to a 1.9td peugeot 306 engine (dhx) and then left the wiring and sold it.. This is where I come in.. I brought this as a project to get running..

What I want to know is that are the looms interchangeable (i.e put a 306 loom in)?

Also, is there anywhere that I can get a pinout diagram of the 2 plugs that connect the engine loom (at the back of the battery)?

Do you mean the two circular connectors that twist together?
Can you post a piccy to give us a clue?

Hi & sorry for the late reply (laptop problems now aswell.. lol)

Yes, the 2 circular plugs (the original loom has 1 black and 1 grey plug, however, I have got a loom off a 1996 306td and that has 2 plugs (the big black one fits and then has a smaller plug.

I don't think that there can be to much difference between the looms as there was a 1.9 version of the partner and the 1.9 has got a lot less sensors than the 2.0.

I don't think i'm loosing the plot by thinking this..

I will PM you the chassis number.
