Hi Everyone :wave:,
I've traded in my Ford Mondeo ST Estate (nice car but something always going wrong with it) for a 2008 Mk2 Multispace 1.6 HDI 16V Desire in red (metallic red, not sure what the official colour is). It's almost 3 years old but only has 9200 miles on the clock - perfect starting point for me since I average about 15,000 a year.
I drove a Renault Kangoo van for 3 years so the Berlingo driving experience is not unfamiliar. It's only been a few hours but I'm already extremely pleased with the car and I'm glad I held out for the Desire model with the modutop which is a nice feature.
The only thing I don't like about the car is the lack of reach adjustment in the steering wheel - when I position the seat so that my legs are comfortable I find that I'm a little too far away from the wheel
However, the car should be perfect for me since I have a young daughter, and another child on the way, and I'm occasionally allowed out to go hill walking, when space for rucksacks and bikes is important.
It looks set to be a nice weekend so I'll take some pictures of it then.
Does anyone know where I can get one of these protective nets that goes from the back of the rear seats up to the roof to prevent items in the boot falling forward? I think this would be a useful thing to have to make use of the height of the car.
