Berlingo HDI Pre-Heat Button
#1
Finally back into a Berlingo, a few bits to sort out like crap door locks but on the whole a nice van. Bought myself a 2002 Berlingo HDI, older shape which has a press button which aparrently has to be depressed for 10-15 seconds to start the van. Starts and runs fine but i would like to dispense with this system and just start the van like we do our Picasso. Why would this mod have been done and would it be easy enough to put back to standard?
Thanks in advance

It would have bee done to avoid the expense of fixing the faulty glowplug operating circuit which should be fully automatic.
Find an independant autoelectrician if you are not au fait with vehicle wiring
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
