interior lights staying on
#1
Shocked
hi there, im looking for a bit of help boys and girls !!!

i have a 53 plate citroen berlingo van which i just got and i have a proplem with the interior lights staying on !!!
on the dash it says doors open and when i use the fob on the key or the switch on the dash the doors lock and then pop open.
i didnt notice this when i got it as the swich on the interior lights were off.
i have found the switch for the back doors and the one on the bonnet ,but i cant find the drivers/passager door ones to see if i have a faulty door switch .

any help in the right direction would be a bonus .

thank you for reading this and help anewbie in the right direction

Work your way up from a toffee hammer to sledge hammer depending on how frustrated you become good luck.

Had this on two occasions and on each it was due to one of the doors not being fully closed, I lubed the mechanisms and all good after ( I don't like having to slam doors ).
Perhaps you will be lucky and have an easy fix.

Can you switch them on the light itself not to come on at all just to save your battery for the time being ? The lights on ours stay on for about 30 seconds after the doors are closed.
So where does this bit go then ?

Hi there , I have turned the lights off for the moment and use the key to lock the doors .Not had chance to take the locks apart one by one .I tried slamming the doors shut as one person said try. The display on the dash when I get into the van says that the doors are open when I start the engine, so I have a fault somewhere !!!! And its either the drivers, passenger or rear door...Bloody electrics lol
