Drivers seat torn beside side airbag

First post here for me. We have a 2007 Multispace and the driver's seat is starting to tear around the side airbag. Can this be repaired?...and if so, how tricky a job is it?

Any advice appreciated.

I still have the torn seat but am now concerned that the airbag itself is not properly attached to side of the seat and that this may be the cause of the tearing. Does anybody have a picture or instructions that explain how to remove/refit the side airbag?....
