Thats very impressive. Running our Nemo to london and back (~400miles) it costs about £50, but its empty afterwards.

Do you guys not think it depends on the weather? Im not talking necessarily about just hot or cold, but somedays, in any vehicle, i seem to get very nice mpg figures, and others not. And its not always the case that my driving style is the reason.

maybe the weather and which fuel you use, eg supermarker [less mpg, garage eg shell more mpg]

Weather will have quite a big effect. Cold = denser air so more power from the engine. But cold also means slightly lower tyre pressure, which will probably equal themselves out.
Wind (head or side) will be the biggest effect, particularly with vehicles with the aerodynamics of a brick. I reckon that's one of the reasons why our cars don't get close to the claimed figures most of the time, as the measured figures are done on a rolling road = no wind resistance effect.
Silly things like how busy can effect it too. If you in a long line of traffic moving at speed, there's an economy benefit, not from tailgating but there's a localised wind produced in the direction of travel.

Seriously though, yes the weather does seem to play a big part in determining what m.p.g. you get. Not quite 100% on the correlation because there are so many variables. Biggest factor is of course the size of the right foot and pressure exerted on the right hand pedal !!!

Have just returned from N Wales.Filled up at Betws Y Coed,on to Carnarfon 2 days running around,then back to Monmouth.Driving at legal limit where poss=64.5 mpg on computer,gauge on 3/4.All A roads mainly A470.

I am reluctant to buy s/market fuel from my experience in the motor trade.Still I sold gallons of Forte fuel cleaner(petrol & diesel).I buy Shell or BP & have never suffered with pump/injector probs.(shell in Betws Y Coed was £1.42 per litre). In monmouth it's £1.45.(Shell)
