Hi, my Mk3 Berlingo has a CD/MP3 player. I am trying to burn MP3's from itunes to a CDR. However they will not play in the car. googling around, it seems I may have to set the bitrate (?) . Looked in the car manual, but know mention of the bitrate I should use...anyone out there with some advice for a guy limited in PC knowledge.please.

Hi, just looked at MP3's on laptop and they're 128kbps. They play pretty well. You can go for lower bit rate if you want to fit more songs on one CD. The player may have limitations, so best to check manual for it. Also VBR, variable bit rate is worth having again if supported. This ups the bit rate when there is more information in the music, and lowers it during quiet bits etc. Should help reduce the file sizes.
