1.6 16V EGR / Secondary Air Valve

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 1.6 16v model does not have any of these emission systems, apart from Catalytic Converter and Charcoal Canister?! I've been looking where the EGR valve might be located but it seems this is for diesel engines only. Very bizarre as my friend 1.2 Corsa had EGR and it was benzin. I guess this is just regarding the Berlingo. Another thing I started searching without any results was the Secondary Air Pump or Secondary Air Valve (whichever) but Haynes mentioned this is fitted to late 1.4 models only. Besides on the picture it looked like it's mounted to the exhaust manifold so it should be very easy to spot but I don't see anything like that.

Hi kokain you may well be right as different manufacturers get round the emissions regs in different ways.

if I remember correctly the 1.8 has egr and a secondary air pump but not the 1.6 like you say it just has a cat and a charcoal canister.

Alright thanks. I'm glad and disappointed in a way. I was looking forward to fabricate something in my free time. I guess I can concentrate my effort on making a rear anti roll bar
