Bluetooth
#1
I have just bought a Berlingo Multispace latest model. Unfortunately, as it was not a factory order, it came without a Bluetooth radio/cd player. I am amazed that a latest model car can still come without Bluetooth, but there we are. The dealer told me there isn't a dealer fit replacement radio with Bluetooth, so I had a Parrot system fitted, which I hate. I wondered if others had found a solution.

Hi Philip, well I can only compare it to the only other Bluetooth system I had which was in a Nissan. In that version a call interrupted the radio and the number calling came up on the radio screen. More than one phone could be pared and they also showed on the screen. The operation felt professional and worked great. With the Parrot, it looks DIY to start with. The version I have is voice activated, but doesn't appear to understand until three of four times of shouting at it. When I turn it on it takes time connecting to my contacts every time and then doesn't find most of them. It keeps telling me I have no music connected, which I already know, as I wouldn't use it for that purpose. I have to admit I have only had it a few days and have only successfully made one call. I did update the software from the Website, but didn't notice any difference in operation. The remote feels flimsy and I think messing about with it when driving will distract me too much. However it may be that I am not using it right, or expect too much from it. I would much prefer a proper radio/CD with integrated Bluetooth.
