12v socket fuse
#1
My 12v socket isn't working & I need to check the fuse. Has anyone found an easy way of accessing the fuse in the glove box ? Can the whole thing be hinged down into the footwell ?

Ha! getting it out is easy.

Getting it back in:
Superglue a cable-tie to the top of the new fuse.
Simples!

Even once you get the glove box door and frame off, its still squirreled away in an extremely awkward position - just about reachable with long fingers to remove. But getting back in is even trickier, as the available gap is only just wider than a fuse.
I eventually managed by gripping the fuse with the removal tool and maneouvering it into position held perpendicular between my middle and ring finger.

Expect to do a lot of swearing. What a F*****g stupid position to put one of the most likely fuses to blow.

Takes me 2 minutes to superglue.
3 seconds to put fuse in.

Have you got a photo of your adapted fuse setup ?
Tried again today, but fingers like sausages do not help
