Hiya
The search is on. Two old farts with two farting old greyhounds and a granddaughter seek 4 wheeled box of similar proportions and aerodynamic capability.
It's time for the beloved old Disco to make way for a younger model with continental charm. The budget dictates a Mk2 and for the mileage we do - under 10k a year but including enough motorway, dual carriageway or fast A road to regenerate a DPF a diesel would be the preferred choice but a low cost petrol would not be a deal breaker.
I've been busy reading the forum for the last couple of days and look forward to getting involved.

I am flabbergasted by the price. Do they really hold their value so well?

It has to be remembered that this is an Citroen approved vehicle!
71K and a 2.0l diesel means it's likely to be comparatively reliable.
The AA guarantee isn't worth a lot but better than nothing.
It (I think) won't have a DPF (FAP). People who want a small MPV have
no real choice....Mk.3's too big.....Older Kangaroo's too small! Only one choice!
I have to say that I've yet to see a rusty Mk.2.
The Older I get the Better I Was!

I'm yet to see a rusty Berlingo of any age!
We just damn everything old here; it's shameful to see car after car go the the crusher unrusted, only minor dents and comparatively low mileage.

Already spotted that one, thanks, and it has been hanging around for a while. Might just trot over to Edinburgh next weekend and have a look at it.
I've just got this thing about being extorted by the stealers.
It's good news for sellers but not so good for buyers on the pricing. They certainly hold their (dealer's full retail) value up here.
