Bluetooth Music Streaming
#1
Okay, so my dad upgraded from a MK2 top of the range to a MK3 92bhp multispace. We bought the car second hand and it has only done 5k miles. #bargain However being a lad ages 16 I love to play music in the car and the car doesn't have Bluetooth at all. If i want to stream music across the speakers whats the easiest option/cheapest option for me to do? I believe that you can install it when buying the car and wondered if i could get hold of the part that fits into the back of the radio?

Thanks, Michael

Or an fm transmitter-you plug your device into it and it converts the sound to FM signal which the car radio will pick up.
You will not then get into bother by potentially wrecking the car..

ebay
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

The.fm transmitter is a Great and easy solution. Plugs into the cig-lighter and plugg your phone into the module. And done. That easy. Many different types to choose from

Anyone who says they get decent quality from a FM transmitter has absolutely no comprehension of quality audio!

On a scale of 1 to 10:
FM transmitter = 1
BT = 7

The best you will get with BT is:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0057BAB60/?t...B0057BAB60

A power adapter will be required for car for above (£5 ish).
You can spend far more on BT, however it is impossible to get better BT quality than using the above.

I got one these a while back and it works pretty well, the sound quality Is alright. The stereo in the berlingo is not the greatest anyway and this thing just works with minimum fuss.

BT has two standards for audio, A2DP or VDP.
A2DP being the superior and acceptable to most (not me).
Any audiophile would not go anywhere near BT.

A2DP Hardware:
The only difference is signal strength (range) and the prevention of interference.
For simply streaming music the Logitechs range and prevention of interference are ideal for a car.
You will not be able to improve the audio quality any further using BT than that can be achieved using the Logitech.

Hence:
If you want to simply stream music buy the Logitech.
Cheaper (£10 eBay) are available but interference may be a problem in a car.
If you want quality, use a cable.

the absolute best way of getting your music playing through the original stereo is by fitting a parrot mki9200, this will give you a phone kit, music streaming, ipod connectivity, usb, 3.5mm stereo jack plug.

For me the THB Bury CC 9068 APP looks promising and i would prefer it over the parrot.
