I'm going to arrange to go and view a 2000 Berlingo with Wheelchair ramp( I use a mobility scooter) it's 1.8 petrol, and very low mileage. Has anyone any advice about what to look out for, or any general comments?

Diesel version would be better. But Check service history / old mot's / hpi it if possible to verify the low mileage ( Plenty out there that are not what they seem ) Good Luck.Confusedalut:

What he says ^^^^^^^
The 1.8 petrol is tidy enough and the fuel consumption will be fine if the mileage done is modest, quite perky too !

Check that indicators/lighting stalk work as it should.
Does the fuel guage work accurately? When the conversion was done an alternative fuel tank may have been fitted which might not talk to the guage fluently. This doesnt need to be a deal breaker.
Check that the engine management light does not stay on.

Check everything electrical works as it should.

Check that all warning lamps come on when the ignition is first switched on and then go out when they should.

Finally check everything electrical........

Thanks for the advice everyone......but I went and did a silly thing, against all my own advice to my son and others, I bought it over the phone. My excuse is that I like the colour. Bright metallic Green. With green & yellow interior. And it's only done 21,000 miles in 13 years. And the dealer has G'teed it for 12 months.

From the particular spec of this one you have viewed, and the mileage i think you're going to be ok, but never recommended to buy a car without seeing it with your own eyes!
