Manufacturers Plate

Okay, so me and my dad were looking for the Vehicles Manufacturers plate and couldnt find it so we looked in the handbook on page 165 or somehting and it said that the Manufacturers plate was on the inside of the engine on the front left side. I open the bonnet and had a look in and i think the stickers/plate has been removed? Theres a sticky residue left behind from where it looks like a hot mug has been. Can someone confirm my suspects of there being a sticker under there or it it on later models as mine is a 2011 (61) plate. Ill try and attach some pictures for you.

I have a MK11 so don't know where the plate is on a MK111.However the VIN is inside the L/H windscreen corner,does that help?alut:

Thanks for that, I just wondered if there was meant to be a sticker or plaque where the residue is. I have to go into the Citroen Garage anyway this week as I think we have the well known problem with the suspension and it needs replacing. Ill ask them then about it and post what i hear from them.
