Additional 12v socket in the boot
#1
Hi. I'm wanting to fit a 12v socket in my boot as my 206sw had one and I found it useful for my air compressor an inverter and mini fridge.

Ideally I'm looking at fitting to the right or left plastic panel in boot but don't want to run a cable to battery or existing 12v/cigarette lighter sockets as I don't fancy trying to hide the cable all the way to the boot.

But my question is where can I take a feed from to supply my new socket.

Cheers Callum

On the mark3 Berlingo there is a thick white wire behind the nearside boot trim that is live all the time providing power to the trailer connections. I tapped into this with a fused connection to a cigarette lighter socket fitted in the panel above. I can now use my compressor or 12v drill without leaving the keys inthe ignition.

Thanks Peter I'll have a check on that as that sounds like a plan especially not having to have keys in ignition. Mines the older shape 2006 but fingers crossed I have a white wire too as I have a tow bar fitted
