Running on veg oil

Hi all,
New on here so go easy....
I have a mate who runs his old Xantia 1.9D non turbo on veg oil. Would it be possible to run my 2003 Berli 1.9D on this?

Yes, usual caveats apply.

You would get away with some experimentation with a 1.9 just be prepared for the worst.
It is strictly verboten on the Hdi's
