can anyone advice me on replacing/repair the clutch adjuster? i have a crunching noise/feel every so often above the clutch pedal when changing gear, sounds like it needs oiling, but i'm guessing its an adjuster? big job?

It helps if you told us what model, year etc. you have.
Some have a adjuster built into the cable and some are hydraulic.

The adjuster is part of the clutch cable and sits about midway down its length. There is no permanent repair and the cable has to be changed if its faulty. It can be awkward at the pedal end but easy at the clutch end.
