Could chaps or chapessesses have a look at this - I need learned blingopinion
[Image: in8x9x.jpg]
Part No 537 03 23 -01 (marked with a yellow star)
If I ordered that what would I expect to get in the bag?
Id say a pair of shells - no more,no less
Anyone disagree?
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Split bearing carriers. It appears the shells are the ones on the right.

I want the shells marked with the star.
The go-to-guy who I've gone-to for years told me that I could have them for £20 per half.
Hang on! - per half?
Thinking on it why then, are two included under one part number?
Thats because they're not identical
How is he able to specify which half to get?
He's trying a rip off.
Wrongly assuming I hadn't diagnosed the problem and sourced a schematic parts list all by my little self.
And the M5 set screws in the picture are £3 each.
I did eventually find someone local who can get them.
Parts arrived next day
He phoned to say I could collect and also that he wasn't sure if I needed the other two part numbers so he'd taken the liberty of ordering them as well.
Brace yourself ,how much?
Total for all six components including VAT- £18.33 .
Shop open at 7.30 am -machine repaired and running by 9am.
Bargain
Suffice to say I've got a new go-to guy.
The previous one was a wizard at reconditioning the parts I'd send him
but the trust that he'd built up over a decade he destroyed in a split-second.
TRUST NO-ONE!
It is on my to do list.
