Why cant the old pump be refurbed there are plenty of specialist injection firms out there and your pump is not that high tech. You said in another post that you were told its had it but what is actually wrong with it or was the mechanic just taking the easy way out.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Your best bet is to speak to a few specialists for advice and a price, most of them do a collection and delivery service. Its cheaper than a new pump even if you can get one and it will be rebuilt as good as new and set up and trying to bypass the immobilizer is a whole new world you don`t want to get into. Just do a search and get ringing they may be even able to advice on what other motor its fitted to but bear in mind i could be calibrated slightly different.

Do a search on the forum because I seem to remember a couple of weeks ago there was a post or a link on here about a guy that had removed the immobilizer part by drilling various parts on the pump but I cant be sure if it was your pump it was an old type. Perhaps some of the other guys can remember the link or thread and post it on here.
