Is there any way to totally isolate the tailgate from the central locking on a 2001 multispace forte?
The garage has isolated the lock itself, but there's still a sensor somewhere that triggers if I open the tailgate beyond a certain point (about eye level). I use my car primarily for my dogs, and can only lock/unlock it centrally via the driver's door - I would like to be able to use the tailgate independently so I can lock the other doors, then let the dogs out without having to go back round to lock up. As I have a number of dogs, this means being able to leave it fully open while I sort them out - I can't be holding it just below the trigger point!
What do I need to look for to stop this trigger happening? Thanks.
