Brake Pressure Regulator Valve Spring
#1
Van is a 1999.

I have a broken spring on the brake pressure regulator valve - could somebody please a) whether they are available separately, b) if so where is the best place to buy one and c) how awkward a job is it to do? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not generally available separately OEM. There are are one or two threads dealing with this.
Folk have replaced the spring with another type, apparently it's not too easy to get at.

I don't know how similar this is.....but it says it's for a Berlingo:

Fitted new spring today and appears to have fixed the problem. Bit of a fiddle to fit as access is very limited. but perseverance paid off eventually, and swearing at it helped a lot too!

There is a metal bracket with a small hole in it that the hook end of the spring goes into. Either the hook of the spring is rotted away or the bracket is broken. New stainless steel springs are on ebay approx. £20.00 or so.
It can be a bit of a fiddle to fit , they seem to fallout of the hole very easy but don't like being put back in.
Try to use the same adjustment on the old adjuster rod as if wrong the back brakes can have too much pressure before the front ones. Could be nasty if braking on corners.
There is a way of setting the rod adjustment as per manual but its complicated
