Berlingo van starting problem.
#1
Hi, can anyone help with this problem.
my berlingo van 1.9D 600 52 plate, First in the morning Takes ages to
start, once it has been started it will start all day. I have had a new
alternator, and had the injectors serviced and new battery, but
still the same. as well as this the engine management light comes on intermittently.

It sounds like your glow plugs are shot there are plenty of threads on here about it and also have a read of this thread as it may apply to your van http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=1875

As you haven't mentioned it,I have to ask - are you actually making use of the glowplug system?
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

If that's the case then I would certainly suspect the glow plugs.
