right way i figure it the yellow wires stay connected. there the permanent power, i need to wire the red switched live to something that only comes on when the ignition is turned on.
so what do i wire it to thats not essential like the fuel pump
right problem solved
pop off the facia that covers the electric windows and heated windows and stuff
take out the drivers side electric window button connect the switched live wire to the number 3 connection.
now when you turn on your ignition radio comes on when you turn it off or go to eco mode radio turns off

right doing it that was leads to the small screen on the dash freezing and turns out the Citroen permanent live isnt permanent, it cuts power when the doors are locked so i was losing all presets
so i wire the permanent live direct to the battery. went out the plastic blank for if its a left hand drive. all is now working as it should

nice one corkgsxr! was gonna suggest the blanking plate method.... but you got there first, Have got my airhorns running through that to the seperate push switch in dash.
Did you fit an inline fuse between battery and your stereo, might not be a bad idea if you're planning to run amps/subs etc??

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
