Best to ask your insurers. They would be classed as a modification, so you would have to inform them anyway

I am waiting for renewal before informing them as premium will go up , I will chance it till then. I am sick of ins premium going up each time I add my gadgets, wheels etc. I got mine from Proppa or van gadgets, the ones I have are Cobra as chrome is good quality on them. Bit more money but worth it. Not sure who do Cobra ones out of these two.
cheers
Pete

mine are Cobra ones, eu approved, and I was told they are legal as they are eu approved. Expensive but good quality.
As for insurance , i will inform new insurance company when I renew later this year.

ok read that and it states that that particular bar is not eu approved, they do sell one which is eu approved and can be fiited as a new part to new vehicals. So no problem with Cobra make, it is over £100.00 more.
Cheers

Hi Pete,
Knew no problem with yours. Quality and look superb on your car.
Original post was by someone else.
Just a warning to others to check they are EU approved, stamped and perfectly legal.
Don't want people buying "cheap" bars and falling into the trap.
Martin.
