1999 1.9D GLOW PLUG RELAY PROLEM

ANY ONE NO HOW 2 FIX THIS PROBLEM, GLOW PLUG RELAY KEEPS STICKING. SO NO LIGHT ON DASH, SO VAN NOT START, PUT NEW RELAY ON BUT STILL THE SAME, PLUGS ALL NEW. SOMETIMES IT WILL LIGHT UP ON DASH (GLOW PLUG SIGH), AND WILL START. ANY ONE HELP. THANKS CONRAD

So could you describe the issue a bit more carefully?

The van doesnt start at all. Does it turn over?

Sometimes the coil light will appear on the dash and it will start?

Hi there,

If there's a multi wire plug going into the relay then check this for broken wires. My 106 diesel had a problem that I tracked back to a broken wire RIGHT at the base of the plug.

From memory, the glowstart relay on these is very similar, so perhaps that's worth a try?

Check condition of all wiring from glowplugs to relay, sounds like a broken or loose connection to me.

As Andre said a step by step guide of your problem and how intermittent it is will help us diagnose..
