I need to change the door mirror on my Berlingo, as it was broken off by someone last night :censored:.
I've looked on e-bay and there don't seem to be any with the coloured panel on - is this something that is fitted afterwards?
Are they easy to change?

I think the coloured panel is clipped on to a standard black mirror.
To remove the mirror I believe you have to remove the door card to disconnect the wiring. The mirror trim on the inside just pulls off and the mirror is held on with 3 Torx screws.

It's not the wired one - as the wired one is on the passenger side and the one that was broken was on the drivers side, and is just a manual adjustment one.

There is still some wiring for the mirror heating. I know you can disconnect the glass from the mirror but I still think you need to disconnect the mirror from the car from behind the door card.

I broke mine and re-used the colour coded bit as that was still intact.
Is the colour bit damaged on your original one, assuming you still have it?

No - the coloured part is fine, it's most of the rest of it that isn't

Then it can be re-used, by carefully taking it off and refitting to the new one.
I actually bought the van one for my multispace with no heated bit to it because it was far cheaper and just did without the heated part by not connecting it.
I think I glued the colour coded bit to the new one as the van one has a recess and the end result is exactly the same bar the heated bit.

Thanks - I have today bought a new mirror from the 'bay and will hopefully have it fitted at the weekend, time and postal service permitting!
Either that or I will end up keeping the makers of gaffer tape in business.

I've taken the old one off as the gaffer tape decided to fail - just need to go to the local parcelforce depot tomorrow and collect the new one.
