Tweeter speakers mk3
#1
Hi Guys,
has anybody fitted tweeter speakers in the front of dashboard.?
Looks like there are some blank grills ready for where the speakers would go.
If so how much ? and did you buy from Citreon?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure which Mk3 you have but tweeters are factory fitted to my XTR. I think there was a thread about this a year or so ago, and the wiring is already in place for the tweeters if not already fitted.

Hi Trevor,
yes I think the wiring is there but under the grill is a sponge bit ,so no speaker fitted.I only noticed because the grill was loose when I picked the car up and the salesman lifted it out to see how it clipped in and there was sponge underneath the grill.
Its a vtr so maybe they don't fit them on that as standard?
Regards
Rob.

That's interesting I'll have to check mine. I thought they were fitted but I don't know.

My tweeters had to be wired, the sponges were empty.
The org. tweeters click nice into the grills, but even with tweeters and carefully placed sponges the grills don't fit 100% into the dash.
