which engine and box?

Can anyone help. I think my auto adjuster on my clutch cable has go and I need to work out which gear box I have to get a replacemen. Also not shore which engine I have the dw8 or bw8b is there an easy way to tell which engine and box you have.

Ment to say it a 1.9 mulitspace 2001 on a 51 plate.

Look at the nearside end of the gearbox. How many bolts hold on the tin cover?

Thanks for the help. I have found out that it's not the cable but is the clutch, just booked it in to have it done did not think £230 was bad for clutch an fitting.
