Newbie needing advice - Multispace remote locking?
#1
Hello, newbie here after some knowledge from some experts Smile Please forgive my complete ignorance of the subject!

We (I say we, as I'm actually the 'mrs' of Peteyb using his login!) recently bought an 08(58) plate Berlingo Multispace. The dealer, an independent van centre, only gave us 2 standard keys. It has central locking but I just wonder if it should have a remote key?
Hubby isn't bothered by it but I find it annoying and a bit of a challenge to use the key in the door whilst holding a baby, change bag, buggy, shopping etc

So few questions...
Should it have a remote key?
If so, where can I get one and get it to work, and how much will it cost me? (or rip me off!)

If not, I think I read somewhere on here about fitting some kind of kit to achieve this - where would I start with getting this and someone to fit it? (and how much would that cost/rip me off?)

Any help/advice much appreciated.

Hi & welcome. You should have a key card with the vehicle.i think remote locking was standard by then. There is a link re keys here, with a name or 2 of specialists.Good luck.

Thanks for replying. I've just dug out everything that we got with the vehicle - no key card Sad
Forgive me if I'm being a bit dull - where's the "link re keys"? How do I access it?

Order this.

Get key cut at lock key place.

Swap immobiliser chip to this key from one of your two

Program remote locking

Doubt this is any use to the op after seven months though!
