oil above cam belt
#1
Hi all
i washed my berlingo yesterday and when i popped the bonnet to clean around the frame i noticed oil around a part just above the cam belt.
I dont know what this part is called or what could be causing it.
Any ideas!!!

ISNT THAT A PIC OF THE AUXILLERY BELT.

COULD IT BE COMING FROM AN OIL BREATHER?

Naa, this is oil seeping from the pipe going from the intercooler to the maf.. Just dtake this pipe out and clean it , -- and the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler too and the intercooler as well. Also clean the pipe from the air filter to the Turbo. I drilled a small hole at the lowest point of that, so taht oil coming from the breeder system can simply drip out.

what Hansw says its just an accumulation of oil in the intercooler pipe work - basically your turbo is passing some oil but this is not that unusual and nothing to be too concerned about.

But you can take it to a garage if you want?

only-- the maf sensor does not like oil,-- not that cheap if it goes, -- and its unlikely the turbo itself-- more likely the non existing catch can in the breeder system. But you find out once you take the pipes apart.
