how do you remove the plastic bracket that holds on air box on with a nut and a bolt can bracket come off without taking more components off

The stud should unscrew and the bracket should slide up. You can get a metal replacement if yours is knackered.

I have a meyal bracket for mine to but it`s not as simple as "sliding it up" as there are 2 fixing points, one of them is also part of the fixing for the EGR valve as far as I can see.

On mine there is a nut and the other is a bolt and the only way i could get the old plastic one off and the new metal one on was to remove some of the egr pipework. Why they just didnt use 2 bolts is beyound me. But it does give you chance to clean the carbon crap out of the corrigated pipe work.

tightened up the injectors smell gone now
