Dash has stopped working

My belt snapped and battery went flat. Fitted new belt and charged the battery, but now dash has stopped working. No speedo, rev counter or warning lights inc indicators. But i have an oil light and air bag light. The car runs fine and starts all lights and indicators work. its a 1.9 diesel.:lol:

Have you checked fuses etc.My thinking is if it's all gone tits up it's not individual bulb/instruments.I don't have a diagram for your car so can't look it up.Good luck with it.

Yes checked all fuses. Strange that it should go after battery went flat. have no fuel or temp gauge as well. thought someone could have had same fault.

I completely flattened battery running a 12v fridge couple of weeks ago.
Managed to get a jump start, then fully charged battery at home.
Everything was fine, in fact better....
Before that all doors locked off remote except side door, that had to be locked/unlocked with key.
After battery flat/charged, side door works now off the remote.
And has done ever since.
Know this is no help to you (sorry), but shows how unpredictable French wiring can be.

The BSI reset posted by knobbly is the answer here...... may take a few goes, but remember the 3 minute rule!!!!

French; but made in Turkey, or Portugal.
And "Berlingo" is a township in Lombardy, Northern Italy.
So not French either.

Don't know if a mk1 is similar to a mk2 in this area but check the 'shunt' i think its either position f1 or f6 from memory but it will have shunt written across the top. Looks like a normal blade fuse and is located in the box under the steering wheel by your right knee.

All sorted thanks to all for ideas. Please do not ask how, friday night checked all fuses again. Had a drive and no different. Went out this morning and the dash was fine !!!!!!!!!!:S
So 1 happy Berlingo owner:lol:
