My boss saw me checking my oil today and said be careful with the dipstick. They have a habit of snapping the ends off.
Realise it is plastic, but is this a common problem?
And what happens to the end...
Does it drown?
Should I be concerned?

My berlingo is on 116k and I've had no problem, nor have I heard of this particular problem before.

I had to get a new dipstick for my Xantia when I had that as the top had broken off the top and oil was coming out of the dipstick hole, so it does happen.
Now an ex Berlingo owner, I have a C4
