Berlingo Fuel Gauge Showing Nearly Empty

Hi,i have a 2007 berlingo 1.6 hdi 90 van.was driving it & fuel gauge began reading nearly empty & low fuel light was on so i filled up with diesel but gauge still reading nearly empty & light still on.it wont move no matter how much fuel goes in.cant find an access panel to get to sender unit.got under van & did find a wiring plug near tank 1 end had 2 wires & other end had 4 wires in.
id be grateful 4 any advice on fixing problem.Might be a while b4 i,m able to reply to any answers due to work commitments but Thanx in Advance

Here you are, Item 1211 is your sender. First connection should be a 5 pin plug with only pins 1 & 5 used. pin 1 is (433) is a green wire which changes to a red one after the 4 pin connector. Pin 5 (4315) is green/yellow which stays the same through the 4 pin.
If this doesn't match yours let me know. :thumbsup:

Problem Solved...float on sender unit must of stuck when i ran tank low...put £20 diesel in tank but reading still empty so i just put another £15 of diesel in & gauge went straight to correct reading of all fuel in tank,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hows it going i have the same problem with my 03 1.9 berlingo was just wondering do you have to take the fuel tank of to get at the sender unit or is the an easier access to it

Hi thanks for reply,my sender had stuck when i let diesel run low,in the end i filled tank halfway up & took it on a bumpy road & the sender unit freed itself.Might be worth a try before removing sender unit.im not sure if you have to remove tank to get to sender but it does look that way.
