TCS (Swiss auto club) breakdown statistics 2010
#1
The TCS just published their breakdown statistics for cars in 2010. Here are the values for Citroens (including Berlingo).

++ = very good
+ = good
0 = acceptable
- = poor
-- = totally inadequate

Citroen Berlingo

Generator defects (2005)
Torn clutch cables (bis 2007)
Fuel pump defects (Petrol 2005)
Torn clutch cables (Diesel bis 2007)
Gearshift rod defective (Benziner bis 2006)
Spark plugs wet and dirty (bis 2005)
Ignition coil defective (bis 2006)

Looks like they've improved a lot in the last couple of years and were never terrible. :wave:

Let me insert my comments as an owner of M59

Citroen Berlingo

Generator defekt (2005). it was not a defect of generator. It was defective pretensioner roller.
Kupplungsseilzug gerissen (bis 2007). There wasn't any torn clutch cables. Main problem of these cables is self-adjustable mechanics. TTL of it 25-40 thousands km.

Kraftstoffpumpe defekt (Benziner 2005). My car was born in April of 2008. I replaced this Kraftstoffpumpe last week. Thanks to Robert Bosch GmbH for "good" quality (Scheisse).

Kupplungsseilzug gerissen (Diesel bis 2007)

Schaltgestänge defekt (Benziner bis 2006). They didn't do any improvements. Problems is not solved

Zündkerze feucht, verschmutzt (bis 2005) FW defect

Zündspule defekt (bis 2006) But only one thing they did. They changed a supplier.
